Hello beautiful! Welcome or welcome back to my blog. My name is Sarah and today I will be showing you guys a back to school morning routine that I feel like every single student should have especially after lockdown.
Now listen, I know that lockdown and the whole pandemic has scarred a lot of people (including myself).
But now we are dealing with a new “normal” and we all need a good morning routine to help us get through the day especially now that we are going back to school.
why do I need a morning routine?
If you are someone who doesn’t usually follow a morning routine, you might wonder to yourself “well what’s the point?”
Well, morning routines are the first few tasks that we complete when we wake up. It sets the tone for the whole day so if you had a pretty bad morning, you’re probably going to have a pretty bad day.
That is why we must have a good and productive morning routine so that we can have a good and productive day.
Even if your day doesn’t go to plan at least you are in a good headspace because of your morning.
what is a regular morning routine?
Most likely if you are a teen like me, your realistic morning probably started like this:
- You woke up with limited time to get ready
- You rushed your hygiene routine
- You may have skipped breakfast
- And if you didn’t it was probably something unhealthy
- and went to school
As a teen myself, I can relate to these kinds of mornings but the only problem is that once I get to school I am probably really exhausted and not in a great mood.
So I thought, what can I do to make my mornings a bit better so that I can have a better day and I will be sharing those tips with you.
your new morning routine:
-
wake up!
Okay, so the first thing that we need to do is……. wake up of course! but what you do as soon as you wake up is super important.
The first thing that we should do is drink water. I know you’ve probably seen this everywhere
but water is really important for our body I mean we are made up with 75% of it. Water to us is like fuel to a car. it is essential. so drink it!
Another thing that I do is pray as I do follow a religion and it is important to me that I do it in the morning when it’s quiet and peaceful.
I also stand up as soon as I wake up because if I don’t, I’ll probably fall back asleep but I have these beautiful big windows to help me wake up and it has a really beautiful view.

journal.
The next thing that I found super helpful! (like this shizz changed my life and morning routine) and that’s journaling.
Now writing may not be for everybody but you might enjoy just meditating instead. you just visualize these kinds of things instead of writing.
But for me, I found a love for journaling. I really feel like it gathers my thoughts and makes me realize what life is really about.
It helps me think about the positive and not the negative parts of life especially after COVID-19 and all the other bad things that are happening in the world. journalling lets you escape from that to focus on the good, the Silverlining.
Things that I like to journal about is gratitude(things that I am grateful for), I like to manifest (AKA scripting) and I like to write whatever I’m feeling that day.
Now if you don’t understand what manifestation is or what it is about, there are so many videos on YouTube and a great book to get into is a book called The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It covers all your questions about manifesting!
Also if you are wondering what journal I use, I will link it here
(none of the items I linked was affiliate links or any sort of sponsored content.)

make your bed.
The next thing that is so important for me is to make my bed.
Now I know that this may seem unnecessary or a waste of time but give it a go. I promise it will make you feel a lot more organized and it will help with other things, for example:
- It makes your room look a lot nicer, as your bed is probably the centerpiece of your room so when it looks organize your whole room looks a bit more put together.
- It is the first proper task that you complete in a day. which puts you in the right headspace.
- It stops you from getting back into bed, I mean who wants to ruin a freshly laid bed?

exercise!
If you have time you should definitely exercise.
it is a great way to start the morning and it helps so much with your energy for the day.
You don’t need to do a complicated Chloe thing work out (trust me, it’s hell) you can just go for a walk/run or stretch and do yoga whatever is appealing to you.
Working out helps you in so many ways which you probably already know. it helps you sleep better, it lowers stress levels, and boost your mood!
and of course, gets you in shape.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Now finally on it to the BEST part which is to eat breakfast!
After asking a lot of my friends and blogger friends, I realized that a lot of people skip breakfast……. LIKE WHAT!
I could not believe it.
I thought that it was so essential for everybody’s day but I guess it’s not, nevertheless breakfast is really important. Not only the eating part but what you eat exactly.
breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day as it is the first thing that you eat after you break your fast from sleeping.
it is important that you eat something nutritious and filling and drink water as well of course!
Some great breakfast ideas are:
- An omelet with some fruit,
- Over-night Oatmeal with some fruit.
- Smoothies with protein powder.
- Breakfast burritos.
- Healthy pancakes

Get ready.
The final thing that we need to talk about is getting ready this part is really detrimental (a tad dramatic) to your morning routine. By getting ready I’m talking about the whole hygiene routine, from brushing your teeth to putting on shoes to leave.
I thoroughly believe that this part of your morning needs to be taken at a calm pace. no rushing!
Usually, when I am completing this part of the morning. I’m listening to some motivating “vibey” music that just puts me in a great mood.
Your morning hygiene routine should consist of:
- Taking a shower either that morning or the night before at least.
- Brushing and flossing your teeth and tongue
- Also using mouthwash
- Doing your morning skincare routine (let me know if you want to know my skincare routine)
- Applying deodorant and perfume
- Shaving if preferred.
And that is everything!
I really hope that you enjoyed this blog post. I hope that it was very educational for you and you understood everything I tried to explain.
you don’t have to do this in this exact order, some people like to eat before they workout or get ready before they eat but do whatever feels natural to you.
please give this morning routine a go and tell me how it went and your thoughts I would love to know.
